I AM A MOTHER OF SIX...
Happily, I am also seeing new parents take control in advance to create an environment of education, emotional support, physical help and they are changing the narrative for their own birth and postpartum experiences. Families with childbirth education, labor and birth support, and postpartum and breastfeeding support have built a winning scenario at a pivotal time in their family’s life.
It will not be a question of whether you need support, but rather "how much" (support) if you ask me!
Yes, I have six beautiful children and I'm also a pharmacist. The first time I gave birth I was pretty young, and frankly quite scared.
Birth and babies weren’t something I felt comfortable about, in fact, it seemed like a secret world “grown ups” knew about and I was about to be initiated in via trial by fire. During my birth and labor experience, I found there were many things I didn't like that happened to me and many challenging emotions to deal with after the birth. All of these led me to research more on the birth, postpartum and 'mothering' process to learn how to make my “next time” very different.

As a birth worker, my goal is to help you to enter your birth experience with knowledge, confidence and to feel empowered to own the space where you birth your baby in a peaceful and joyous way—whether it be the very first time or the “next time”.
After raising my own six children, supporting new parents through birth and beyond, becoming a doula has been the joy of my life and the perfect fit for me. I love working with expectant families to help them navigate the birth and labor process, looking at each new birth as a unique experience. My goal is to provide the encouragement and empowerment needed in a calm and confident manner during the prenatal, postnatal, postpartum stages and on into motherhood.
You are safe, you are strong, you are able!!!!
